Why Buy a 2019 Volkswagen Arteon?
While it seems the world is obsessed with crossovers as of late, there’s a new sedan stealing the show and it’s the all-new 2019 Volkswagen Arteon. Not only is it the largest sedan in the German automaker’s lineup, this stunning car is also the most expensive. However, it’s worth every penny when you consider the list of standard features and capabilities, and you’ll realize why purchasing the 2019 VW Arteon is a very smart decision.
For starters, the Arteon name basically means “timeless design.” Derived from the Latin word for art, artem, and eon, which means a long period of time, the Volkswagen Arteon was designed and engineered to stand the test of artistic time. Looking at its sleek, sophisticated silhouette (which looks very similar to the Audi A5 Sportback), it’s clear to see why they chose the name they did. The Arteon is indeed an artistic statement that will remain one for many years to come.
While the body style and the name are all-new for the Volkswagen lineup, the engine isn’t. But don’t worry, they didn’t just throw an old engine in there and cover it with a pretty package. No, no, the engineers at Volkswagen took the outgoing CC’s 2.0T engine and ramped it up for the Arteon. So, instead of 200 horsepower, the 2.0L turbocharged mill now produces 268. And torque has been upped from 207 to 258 lb-ft. And while the Arteon was not engineered to be sporty in nature, it definitely has kick to it, but in a mild-mannered way.
The 2019 Volkswgen Arteon offers up interior features like a massaging driver’s seat, as well as Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit as standard on the only trim available, Execline. And while it’s slightly shorter than the Passat, it is 2” longer than the outgoing CC and offers up more backseat space for passengers than the Passat, as well.
Another stellar standard feature of the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon is the 4MOTION all-wheel drive. That means this stylish full-size sedan is also a capable all-weather vehicle that will keep you safely on the right path throughout all seasons and weather conditions.
There is also an available R-Line package you can add to the already fully loaded Execline Arteon and that adds 20” Rosario alloy wheels, along with R-Line badges and unique front and rear bumpers, and of course an R-Line steering wheel.
