Volkswagen announces an 8-year warranty for its batteries

Volkswagen is driving full speed ahead into electrification with plans to hybridize or electrify its models and the Volkswagen ID.3 will be at the heart of the transformation. Expected next year in several markets and possibly for Canada, the ID.3 will offer a range of between 330 kilometers and 550 kilometers, one of the most generous in the industry.

This week, Volkswagen announced an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty for its lithium-ion battery. This warranty promises that the lithium-ion battery will retain 70% of its capacity during the warranty period and therefore provides you with peace of mind and confidence that your battery will be able to exceed your battery life expectations and maintain its range for a very long time.

The Volkswagen ID.3 will be the first of a long list of electric cars expected at Volkswagen. We expect to see the ID.3 in 2021 or 2022 while the Volkswagen e-golf is currently available with 200 kilometers of range at Turner Volkswagen. Come learn more today!
